Also known as the “Green Card” Lottery, the program will be open for on-line registration from October 1, 2015 to November 3, 2015. The Diversity Immigrant Visa Lottery allows randomly selected applicants the opportunity to interview for an immigrant visa, and if qualified, become legal permanent residents of the United States.The lottery application period is open from October 1, 2015 to November 3, 2015. The lottery is open to citizens from qualifying countries – both Sri Lanka and Maldives qualify.
